shoooweeee 6-months today
Hiya!
OK so I last blogged a month ago....where did the time go? ha ha ha...I can only laugh :)
I'll update with photo's in the next year or so (just kidding), but just to keep you all in the loop, the girls are up on all fours now (almost a "downward dog" position) then the knees drop so they're in the starting position, then they rock a bit to and fro, then it's a belly-flop back onto their tummies. They can do a full 360 degree spin and when they spot the toy they want, they then do a kind of a pull-drag-thing....or go up on all 4's then launch forwards.
They have 2 of everything in the teething ring department...but one will go for the one thing the other has, crawl up to her, shout in her face and physically try to wrestle it from her. Hmmmm says Mommy...can see myself wearing a rugby ref jersey soon WITH whistle to break up these argie-bargies ;)))) Sarah takes then lies on top of her pile of "stolen" goods, Jessica takes then hoards a pile or hides her "goods" under the blankie they lie on....or under the poof etc etc. Life with these two is amusing :)))))

today we are 5-months old!!!!
Hello all!
Firstly Happy Happy 40th Birthday Marc!!!!!! Hope you have a super duper day!!!!! Love and miss you loads xxx
OK so I'll admit it....by choice I've become an expert poo analyser (Gillian McKeith watch out!!) ...colour, consistency the whole katoot :) 5 years ago I would have bet money on the fact that I would never be in this position....ha ha ha!! The girls have had two episodes of constipation...it was hell for Brad and I to see & experience their pain, so they are on a strict diet of steamed apples (for breakfast and lunch) and steamed butternut for supper with a side of prune purity now and again. A bit boring, but they love it and it keeps them just groovy and me knee deep in it :)))
We've stopped the banana as that seems to be the baddie (Brad's Mom said it did the same to him as a baby so there you go).
5-months today!!! Can you believe it??? I remember them all tiny and shrivelly on my tummy in hospital and being absolutely scared to death on how to hold those 2 tiny little girls...WOW WOW WOW!!! (I suppose I'll always say that hey?) We've done pretty OK I reckon ;) At their 4-mth paed visit, they tipped the scales each at 5.22kg's!!!!!
Poo aside we are all doing really well. Brad's hectic at work and I'm busy at home with the young lassies. (I decided not to take Viv back when we came home - not for Supermom nominations - just the fact that I coped fine whilst we were away.)
They started to "crawl" last Thursday, Sarah forwards and Jessica backwards....just a bit, but it's started nontheless! They are cute and noe-noes and two happy little chucklers and it's adorable to hear them squeal with delight when they "fly" or you blow on their tummies....you know what I mean ;) On the evil kanevil side, we have put them in separate rooms until the crying game at night is over. They were hitting the 2-hour mark (we'd stand there and shush and rock and lullaby them) when I decided enough is enough and sleep-training time. It's tough and heartbreaking to hear them but we have to do it. Both our Mom's reckoned so too, so we had support and knowledge and we're OK so the girls will be OK too! Brad prefers to come home when it's over...and it's getting shorter and shorter every night, so the end is in sight :)))) sweet relief!
Brad has had some funky aluminium cots made that they'll use at home, but can be folded flat to take away camping. I must re-arrange their rooms today as they'll be sleeping in them from tonight. No more Moses baskets. They were really fabulous and served us well!
Anyway here is the link to the latest batch of photos of life here in twin land ;)
